The past week we as the June squad (a.k.a. squad C) have been matching our ministry interests to the needs of the area we’re at in Manila, Philippines. We are very blessed to be working with a ministry that has the flexibility, contacts, and partnerships to allow such versatility. The organization we are working with is called Kids International Ministries (KIM). To give you an idea of the variety of projects I’ve listed most of what I am aware of, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there was more. Some of the projects have gotten put on hold or canceled, as others may come up as the month progresses. We’ve never had so many sign up and announcement sheets! It’s so amazingly ridiculous that we can’t help but joke about it!

I personally have enjoyed going to Faith Academy (a school for children of missionaries in Asia) and getting to know the high school girls, faculty, and parents during open gyms. I have also been helping with PE classes at the Community Center which has been a great way to build relationships with the community children. One of my other favorite things is to be at the children’s home as they get ready for bed and evening devotions. There is nothing more precious than seeing a child worship our Lord. It’s a true blessing to share that time with them and be available for their questions, and believe me they ask some great questions!
