It’s been a crazy number of days here in Zimbabwe. Lots of prayer, lots of heart changes, and lots of crazy car rides. Welcome to Africa, let’s see how many people we can fit in a family car. The answer is, about 16 today I’m pretty sure. That would be a record haha!
One thing this week or ministry taught me was thankfulness. We are in the season of holidays, family, and just praising the lord. It makes me think of all the family thanksgivings and Christmases I’ve spent at home. This will be the first year to be away from home. It’s honestly a little hard for me, i dont usually get home sick but I love my family and holidays are a special time in the mahoney household! This year I’ll be spending Christmas in Zambia, to think of it that’s super cool! How many chances will I get to spend across the world for Christmas. I love the opportunity the lord has given me to be on the world race. Times have been tough, times have been amazing, I wouldn’t trade it for the world! We have crazy ministries ahead and crazy times but it’s a wild ride I’m so willing to take. This week ministry has looked like many different things. One of my favorite times this week was a hospital visit! We took one of the Christian private school kids to visit the sick children. For the first 45 minutes we got to just hang out. I had a group of about two girls and twelve rowdy middle school boys! It was so fun, we played games and got to know each other. Later on we went up to visit the children, there were many rooms. We went in and prayed with the children and mothers, just bringing the joy of the lord to the suffering. After visiting, the children went back room to room and sang music to them. It touched my heart so much. Children being willing to bring Jesus to other children. It was a very sweet moment for me to be apart of. The lord can move in any heart, no matter the age! Ministry looks like all sorts of things. We go on hospital visits to pray over the patients, healings can happen! We also do lots of work with children, kids camps, bible studies, and many more things. It’s so much fun! On Friday we are hosting a giant sleepover for some of the slum kids! Oh speaking of slum kids.. today was hard, We have been going to a slum to worship and play with the children. As we arrived there today we heard the terrible news of one of the men suddenly passing away. Some of our team had met him the week before. It really showed me in that moment that life is precious. We have limited time on this earth. What are we doing to bring the joy of the lord to this world. I know I’m my heart I can’t wait to be dancing with my Jesus, i dont want to dance alone though. We need to bring as many people as we can to dance along with Jesus!! Praising his name with no language barriers and no fears. How beautiful is that! I love my Jesus so much and not sharing that love with others wouldn’t be fair. Bring the love to others!! Especially in this Christmas season. I love you all so much! Thank you for the support and prayers.

Love from Zimbabwe,
