One of the ways we are partnering with Kids International
Ministry here in Manila is by taking shifts sitting with a 7 week old orphan
named Cedric. He is such a tiny baby! He has also been in the hospital for the
past week. Hospitals here require someone to sit with babies 24 hours. This
morning I got to spend 6 hours one on one with a child of God. Literally.

Cedric has been in the hospital due to a hole in his heart
causing a murmur, pneumonia, jaundice, and a hernia. Bringing him home is a
goal of the children’s home so that we can care for him without the hour
commute and being away from the other children.

With that said, know that something I have been asking to
have increased faith in, is the healing power of God. I know that God is the
great physician and that the Holy Spirit heals. But for me, there has been a
division between head knowledge and an active trust based on experiences. I
have been praying fervently to know God in this way.

ANSWERED PRAYER:
While holding
baby Cedric in my arms, the doctor came in the room and directly asked me if I
had a Bible with me. I replied yes with a confused look. She smiles and said
“hand it to me, we have a miracle.” She turned to Psalm 96 and read aloud

Then, she proceeded to tell me that the hole in his heart is
gone, his lungs are healthy, his liver shows no signs of anything being wrong,
and he can come home!!

All I could do was grin and let the tears flow. The Lord
HEALED His child. Did you catch that?? God reached down, touched Cedric, and
made his small body whole. A track record of the Holy Spirit’s healing power
has begun for me. So I will sing praises to God. I am telling you…the nations…His
greatness and His power!!!

Our prayer now is for the funds of 12,400 pesos to come to
settle the hospital bill. Join me in this?? I have no doubt that it will be provided!
