Tell me the most important decision you have made in your life so far. The average American adult makes around 70 conscious decisions every day, according to a survey conducted by Columbia University. So which decisions are the most significant? I automatically go to the decisions that affect me the most. What college you choose if any, who you will marry, or what career path to take. In America those decisions are significant culturally because of the amazing freedom we have. As a Christian, the most important and significant decision I have made was to follow Jesus FOR REAL. Beyond the nominal, Sunday morning, and “pray before I eat” Christianity. My decision has been met with lots of even more difficult decisions, but with grace and mercy waiting at the end of them. It has been met with leaving America for 11 months, and stepping into so many unknowns. I am blessed to be able to make decisions in faith, knowing that there is life through Jesus waiting in the end. I am SO THANKFUL for the camp counselor that took time to really explain salvation to me at 10 years old, and for the speaker at a youth retreat that told his story and what it really means to be a follower of Jesus beyond that.

Romania is a beautiful country. The place we are staying is surrounded by rolling hills and small mountains. 95% of the population in this region do not know Jesus as their Savior and the forgiver of sins. The cultural Christianity here is solely works based, with no concept grace through Jesus. They do not know. We evangelized in parks and the historical attractions for the past few days. We walked around in groups of 2-4 and talked to people with a translator if it was needed. Most called themselves Christians, but did not know that they could be sure of salvation or that following Jesus includes a relationship with Him. In my experience, I discovered that most were so happy when you asked them what their story was, and when my squad-mates and I shared our stories of how God has worked in our lives. In this region, we have to put emphasis on what salvation even means, that being the forgiveness of sins. One of the ministries here is handing out a great variety of different people’s testimonies of how they came to Jesus. They give out each unique testimony to the people here. The uniqueness is important because it makes it personal, like Jesus is so personal with us.

That being said, I’m asking YOU to share your story, in one page (A4 format, if you know what that is) . You can email it to me ([email protected]) . Your story will be printed and given to ONE person, somewhere in Romania. God can use your story to bring someone thousands of miles away to Jesus! What if you were never given a choice on who to marry, what college, or any of the 70 daily decisions you make? Or the decision to follow Jesus? FOLLOWING JESUS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT DECISION YOU WILL EVER MAKE. Help someone else make this decision!

Fundraising Update: GUYS! I have $2,865 left to raise, THAT IS CRAZY! THANK YOU! Please pray that I am fully funded by the end of this month! Please pray whether God wants YOU to help this journey continue. Is God calling you to share your story with someone in Romania?

Personal Update: It’s ALL SQUAD MONTH! This means my entire squad of 43 are together in the same house in the same city. I love that I’m able to get to know my squad-mates on a deeper level. Please pray that I can thrive this month! Pray that I can uplift and encourage my squad-mates. Pray that my team and will be effective in our village ministry with an after school program this week!
