Sorry for not filling you all in very much during the last leg of my journey. My goal was to stay off Wi-Fi and continue to be present even with home looming over my head.
My time in Ethiopia was more than incredible. It firmed up my relationship with the Lord leaving me more confident in my identity than ever and was full of beautiful, deep relationships with those I did everyday life with whether that was my team, the kids at the camp, my sweet kids (aka Gadisa’s kids that are a part of his feeding program), our sweet hosts (Gadisa, Jordan, and Worke), or Gadisa’s sweet friends I had the pleasure of meeting. The people I encountered in Ethiopia are so hospitable and are deeply on fire for anything and everything they believe in. They love so well and would do just about anything to make each person who walks into their country feel at home. I experienced so much greatness during my time there that I am having trouble placing it all in words, but I’m working on a blog about my beautiful time there that I will post later on. Needless to say, the goodbyes were so hard, but I had such a beautiful welcome home waiting for me.
So, for those of you who don’t know yet, I landed in Chicago June 3rd, spent a few days there with my family, and have now been safely back in Colorado for over a week now. My world race journey with Gap K is complete which is so hard to grasp. There is so much about the World Race I miss and transitioning into life back in the states has been a true roller coaster, but it feels great to be back with my sweet family and friends.
Thank you so much for your love and support along the way! I honestly can’t thank each and everyone of you for supporting me through reading blogs, praying, financially giving, and just loving me and my family so well through the past nine months. It means more than I could ever truly express.
I’d love to do a question and answers blog so I can share with everyone what they want to hear about my journey! If you want to submit a question comment on this blog, email it to me at [email protected], text me, or message me on Facebook! Let me know what you want to know! Be extra creative!! Send them in by Tuesday, June 19th to be a part of the blog.
