Why HEELLLOOO friends!

So, to preface this thing I have to say this is my very first blog ever (my friends laugh even at the thought of me attempting this) and I am terrible with computers, so bear with me.  Okay, now that we have established that let’s get started.

About me in less than a lot of words:  My name is Tabitha Brown, but I go by Tabbi (my mother is literally the only one who calls me Tabitha) and I am an RN at a local hospital here in the beautiful city of Grand Rapids, Michigan. I graduated from Calvin College, a Christian Reformed college here in GR with my nursing degree, as well as Spanish and German minors.  I have a wonderfully adorable cat named Bob (yes, my female cat’s name is Bob…it’s funny) and I adore my friends.  My friends and family hold a very high place on my “important” list and are always big priorities.  I absolutely cherish the relationships God has blessed me with.    The most important thing you should know about me is that I am broken.  I am broken and damaged, unworthy and finite.  I am a sinner and I fail.  I am also (and here’s the part to take note of) forgiven and beyond loved by my redeemer.  I belong to the one true Lord, Alpha, Omega, Savior and King; Jesus Christ.

I come from a broken family; with drugs and abuse and hatred ruling the center of my life.  At 14 years old I was adopted and God blessed me with many beautiful families to support and love me.  He has been my rock, my solid and my shelter for as long as I can remember.  It is through his grace that I have found a home and forgiveness for who I am.  I hope as you join me on this wonderful journey you will see his beautiful love in, through and around me as I jump whole heartedly into this mission trip.  I pray that you see change not only in me but also in the people I am able to impact.  Thank you for your love and support as we begin this joinery together in the name of our glorious savior.

   Thanks for reading!
