Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
Be still my heart. Once a week, my squad has been able to participate in an outreach to the children from the local slums through soccer and simple bible stories. Being able to enjoy their joy has been such a blessing and one of my favorite things about this month.
Precious munchkins, I hope you always keep those smiles. I hope you never lose your sense of adventure and wandering. I hope that you remember the impact of a sweet word or a simple high five. I may not know all of your names or be able to speak the same language, but I can be a smiling face in the middle of the week that runs around with you on my back and provides a safe place to rest with plenty of back rubs. Thanks for letting me. Thanks for reminding me of the simple acts of love. You may not know it, but you carry so much influence and joy-don’t lose that. I pray that the potential you carry to be world changers is not lost on you. Lastly, I pray that you grow up knowing you are dearly loved by your Father in heaven- you are his precious children, never forget that.
