Hi all!
Just wanted to type it a quick update of something awesome that happened during our last couple weeks of village ministry.
On a normal day in the village, my team does english classes as well as house visits or a bible study. On the Friday I’m talking about right now, we were supposed to do a bible study with the family we normally see on Friday’s, but they weren’t there that day. A woman told us to go visit an older lady who lived across the street. So we walked over there and sat down with the sweetest old woman, an older man, and a couple of other people. Our ministry host asked if anyone wanted to share the gospel with them, because they didn’t really know who Jesus was. So my squad leader Jackie said she wanted to, and she proceeded to tell them all about the good news of the gospel, and all about who Jesus is. It was awesome to listen to her and feel that he Spirit was definitely present at that time. He was softening hearts and opening minds to accept the love He has for them. After Jackie was done telling them about Christ, she asked them if they wanted to pray and invite Jesus into their lives, and they did! We all prayed together, and they accepted Jesus that day. I felt so blessed to have witnessed that.
The next week we got to go back and visit her again. When we approached were she was sitting, I just felt a strong peace that I knew was from the Lord. I had prayed the week before that God just lay His hand of peace over their hearts and over their property, and on this day I actually got to feel it. God’s peace is unlike any other, and I was so encouraged to see that the older woman’s property&her heart were covered in it. Thanks God for bringing your peace.
