Hi!!Oh, how I love that you are here reading my first blog post while one the World Race. The Lord has already rocked my world from so many directions while here in the Philippines. I wanted to give you a little update of where me and my team are staying, alongside with what the Lord has put on my heart to share. SO, with that said we are here in Manila which is the capital of the Philippines, things are so dope here. It’s like a place my heart has been searching for quite some time and has finally been found. We have been here a little less than a week and have got the opportunity to explore so many parts of ministry. Where we are staying neighbor’s a Christian high school and, I am constantly hearing the songs of their voices while they are proclaiming the name of Jesus for all their community to hear. Right down the road there is a children’s home and attached to it is a pregnancy clinic. So many good things go on in here, and we are staring to lead the devotionals here every night for all the children, and pick up a sweet fun game of basketball after. Also, we have been taking the children swimming and it is just the most beautiful thing hearing little kids yell “tita tita tita catch me!!”. OH, and the pregnancy clinic I’m just waiting the day they wake me up in the middle of the night for a delivery YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT. I will soon be helping deliver a baby ~I made it~. (ok WHAT in the middle of writing this blog I just got called into delivering my first baby, Gods timing is comical). We delivered a little baby girl!!!!! I blacked out lol, but not my last time going to the pregnancy clinic. God is getting me out of my comfort zone and I’m sooo about it. One more very special detail the children outside the gate that hang out right in front of the fruit stand are a dream come true to me, and remind me how much Jesus loves me. You will be hearing about them in a blog to come soon. Been playing a lot, laughing a lot, swimming a lot, passing around a lot of high fives a lot, and being blown away by how the Lord has prepared my heart for each experience.
Ah yes nooow that you are updated I want to share what the Lord reviled to me while reading Isaiah. While reading the second chapter “The Mountain of the Lord”, I asked God to revel something different to me. “Come, let’s go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob that he may teach us his way and that we may walk in his paths “Isaiah 2:3. I spent a month in Colorado this summer hanging around many mountains, not a coincidence, because after reading this verse the Lord gave me a really cool vision. Climbing to the top of a mountain is not effortless, but it is simple. I feel like God was telling me that’s how the true way of following him should be. Climbing for me is enjoyable when I’m not trying to over work myself. Some parts of the climb is tough and others you reach a edge where the view takes your breath awaaaaaayyy, but oh booyy with the destination in mind I cant help but to follow Him wholeheartedly. He’s good here in the Philippines, He’s good back home, He’s never not been good.
Thanks to all my friends and family for loving me so well. You are in this with me and I can’t wait to share more ((((:::: please reach out to me if you wanna hear more or just wanna talk!! My team has wifi this month so in am able to respond <333 yay
