Really funny thing when you find one of your best friends on the other side of the globe! While we are staying here at KIM (Kids International Ministry’s), to help us know the area better, and give us direction for all the areas of ministry we are doing we have a host! I don’t know if your idea on host is the same as mine was but God shattered that real quick for me. Not that I didn’t think me and my host would be close, I hoped for it, I prayed for it! The thing I didn’t think was my host being 20 years old and constantly singing “Down “by Jay Sean. Dude she’s so fun! She’s a one in a million type of girl, we dance, we laugh, and she constantly reminds me of how Jesus is the man and is the way, and deserves all the glory. I’m learning so much from Nicole, this balance that the has adapted in her life, of her personal relationship with God and how much she treasures Him, alongside with wanting others to find the treasure she has found. She knows God, the real God, the God I want and long to depend on. She has not tried to make Him something He is not; she has not made up a mold for him to fit in. That’s one reason I look up to Nicole, she points me back to the real true authentic Jesus Christ. I asked Nicole if there is one thing she want people back home to know about the Philippines and she said that God will make a way for them. Just like God made the way for Moses when he led the Israelites to flee from the Egyptian king and his army when He parted the red sea. God, He works miracles like that. That’s our hope and that’s who God is. Nicole notices that there are such cool and exciting things on this earth that are to be enjoyed and explored but who Jesus is, is EVEN better. I leave the Philippines in a couple of days to head to Thailand. What God has done in my heart in the Philippines, is to be talked about and rejoiced all my days. Wow, His people they are great. Take some time to get to know them! I totally recommend it! You will get a whole new perspective on life.
