My heart before the race;
As believers in Christ we are told to trust in Gods WILL.
Let His will be done is what is prayed upon us.
The thought of him having a will for EACH of us is so wild to me!
The fact that He already KNOWS what path each of us are going to choose!
He knows if we are to obey him, or to turn our back from him and he still choses to pursue us!!
He STILL chose to die on the cross for those who would deny him to his very FACE.
God already knew our very actions on this world when he was knitting us in the womb.
His WILL, It’s a powerful thing. He’s all knowing. & still all loving. Like the type of Love that stretches its arms from each side of the cross for you, THAT kind of love.
Just because God has his will for us, doesn’t mean and we can just SIT and wait for his will to be done. With God, I cannot, but without me he will not. In Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things though Christ who strengthens me”. See how the beginning of that verse starts off with I and ends with me. I look at it as some type of spiritual partnership, and the first step towards understanding that partnership is first acknowledge that you are a sinner who is in need of a savior. Once you have humbled yourself, noted that God is all good and his will for you is exactly what you need to fill your soul. You are in the step of action, But WOH. There is one type of people group who God CAN’T partner with. God cannot help the person who has not taken responsibility for their life. & you say “oh God you don’t get it, like no offence but I am who I am because of my past and my parents weren’t really good parents, and I was bullied the first 20 years of my life, I went through a devastating heartbreak etc……” WAKE UP realize you are adopted into a new family, therefor you have been born again, the chains that once held you in your comfort zone are no longer there!! Now God can use you, we can’t be in partnership with an all-powerful God if at first we don’t realize that we couldn’t do it without him.
Without God, I cannot, without me he will not.
Pain will come, we are not in heaven yet, we will go through testings of our faith. Life a lot of the time SUCKS. Do not let your self talk have more authority than God. Self-talk is emotion and feelings that changes like the weather. There is no stability with it. It is weak. The armor of God is talked about in scripture, “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
Does scripture say wait for God to put the armor on you? No, he’s not going too. You have to put on the armor of God or you are going to go into battle naked, and that is just SICK. Ha.
Start bringing your self talk into alignment with God, start knowing the truth that your identity is found in him!! You were bought with a price!
Self-talk has no power over you when you put on Gods full armor!! So what are you waiting for? Put it on!! And Rejoice that you can put it on!! Rejoice that he is in you, so let him work in you! Stir up the gift of God that is in you! God is waiting for you to become serious and deeper with him. Gosh, he WANT US SO BAD. I want to grow in the Lord. Every day I want HIM. This is me, you have me all Lord!! Open my heart to knowing the root of “I can do all things though Christ who strengthens me”. He knows us best, and loves us most. I’d pick up the shield of faith for Him any day! Thank you, Jesus, for your promise of being with us in the battle, and I promise to keep pursuing you while in it.
