~Hey~ I am in Chiang Mai Thailand!
Each day looks a little different here, and I’m being taught so much by all my different experiences. EXPERIENCES, yes the Lord is flooding me with all this revelation after I said heck yes to His plan for me. Cool.
I want to let you in on a little something that has changed my life actually, and that is the fruits of the Holy Spirit. I want to start off with sharing scripture with you, something that is so true and so flawless. “But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self- control; Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23.
A friend said it to me like this “If you are not experiencing the fruits of the spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self- control then you need to reevaluate the source at which you are drawling your recourses from. Because if you are abiding in the Holy Spirit the fruits of the spirit will be naturally added to you. Patience isn’t something you try to have, it’s something you receive when you abide. Quit trying to love people and be loved by the Father, He already loves you, but if you’re not receiving love then you are not going to know how to love other people.” Shout out Adria.
This is when we get to experience freedom believers! When we said yes to Jesus as our Lord and Savior and received the Holy Spirit all these fruits have been given to us. As believers, we have the power and authority to walk in these every second of every day, and this is how I think Jesus and the Gospel will be accurately and genuinely conveyed! It’s not in our own power put in the power of the one who lives within us. By activating the fruits of the spirit I am continuing to learn what and WHO love is.
I like to think of it like this, I call this one the ~ Chocolate Milk Example~ another dear friend #Amanda shared it with me. Picture two glasses of white milk, you squeeze chocolate syrup into each glass and in both glasses the chocolate settles to the bottom. Not until you put a spoon into the glass and stir the chocolate syrup and the milk together do people see that it is chocolate milk, and the chocolate goodness doesn’t fill the whole glass until it is stirred. Your heart is the white milk and the chocolate syrup is the Holy Spirit. We as believers, walk in our full potential when we walk in the fruits of the spirit- that have been gifted to us when we said yes to Jesus!! Walk in confidence knowing it already has been given to you. Freedom isn’t earned, we just get to say yes to it!
