hi friends! my name is sydney merritt & i’m from flowery branch, georgia. i have one older brother and two younger sisters that mean the world to me. i’m currently studying business with a focus in entrepreneurship at the university of north georgia in dahlonega. despite my major and field of study, i’d love to get involved in missions and ministry for at least some part of my life. one of my great joys is connecting with people & i would love nothing more than to travel and hear peoples stories. when i’m not in school or working, i spend most of my time involved in church in some form, from getting immersed in christian community to volunteering in the youth ministries. if you know me, you know that the music i listen to means a lot to me, for it plays a huge role in my life. i love movies, i love to write, i adore pinterest & thrifting is my guilty pleasure. i think self expression is an important and valuable thing, so i seek out lots of avenues in order to do that! i also really value authenticity and honesty in all forms of the word.
in the past two years i have seen and felt God in a way i never had before & also never thought was possible. He has given me the eyes to see Him and the ways He reveals Himself all around me. He has helped me to recognize the things meant for me and the desires and passions of my heart. in that, i’ve discovered india and missions and christian community and fellowship and serving and all of the joys that come with it. i now know what truth and love are in their truest forms, i see it in the hearts and actions of others and in missions i simply hope to do the same. i hope to be that sweet grace, and patience and unconditional love that others in my life have been to me. my prayer is to be the hands and feet of the Lord, to be a vessel for God to move around and within me. & with that i am so unbelievably excited and grateful for this opportunity and i just cannot wait!
