Meet my team: Hineni

I am now a few months into this crazy trip, and my squad has quickly gone from strangers to family. My team has become my sisters, and I could not be more grateful to know these gals. Let me do the honor of introducing them!
Tatianna
A fierce women of Christ, she is not afraid to share her emotions and carries unbelievable strength. Tati has a laugh like nobody I have ever meant and is an undeniable beacon of grace. Her vulnerability is so inspiring to everyone she is around, she sets examples of honor simply through her personality. She is a killer logistics leader for our squad, but more importantly, she is a wildfire to everyone she comes in contact with.
Brooklyn
LIGHT, JOY, LAUGHTER!!! Brooklyn is the definition of joy, she brings light to any corner of darkness and loves like no other. Her laugh is unbelievably contagious and she represents Jesus in everything she does. She has no fear diving into her heart and looking at whatever she may find. Tunes into the Lord’s voice always and is such an encourager. Eat, sleeps and breaths the happiness of Jesus.
Jane
A lighthouse of wisdom, an undeniable force of love and courage. She carries grace upon her steps like no other and has a freedom in the Lord that can encourage anyone to break their shackles. Jane carries abundant love in her every breath and knows the Lord’s timing deep in her soul. Her obedience in the Father’s plan and everything He has in store for her is mind blowing.
Susan
Undeniable strength, susan binds her heart around her neck and loves others with her everything. Her faith in the Fathers plan for her is incredible, and her knowledge of the word is spectacular. Susan is not afraid to say the hard things, and she says them with such love and compassion. Her love for the Lord is encouraging, and her strength to chase after the big questions is powerful.
Amelia
A loving mother to our team, she cares so deeply and so fully. Amelia puts everyone around her in front of herself, and puts an unbelievable amount of love into her every step. She is a selfless representation of Christ and her strength is so clear and powerful. Her emotions are so important to this team and her willingness to grow is inspiring. The mighty engine that keeps this team running.
Kayla
A secret weapon, a quite storm if you will. She brings so much fun and so much joy into a room, and her words carry so much meaning. Her voice is a steady reminder of love. Her grace is incomparable, and her child-like enthusiasm is so fun to be around. And her fun spirit radiates from her. She is a blossoming flower, and every day we get to see a new side of this beautiful creation of the Lord, her growth is outstanding.
Sydney Freed
Our leader, our rock, and our inspiration. Sydney you have shown this team what being a steady leader looks like. You have shown us what abundant love and patience looks like, and you have walked us through our first few months so well. You abide in the Lord’s plan without question and your heart is so open for all that He has in store for you. You took on another three months on the field so you could come out and love us in the same way Jesus loved His disciples. Thank you for teaching us how to live a little, and how to smile always.
When they tell you at training camp what teams you’ll be on, and give you assigned team times and trust building exercises, it seems like the weird acquaintance phase is never going to end, but there’s a weird bonding time period that takes place when you know you’ll spend 24 hours a day, for nine months around the same group of girls. Friendships form quickly, and surface level relationships are simply a waste of time. I knew back in July that there was something different about this group, but couldn’t figure it out until we got onto the field.
These women inspire my every move, they push me farther than I’ve ever gone, and call me higher everyday. They encourage me like no others, build up each other and create a safe family. The laughs we share and the conversations we have hold such a special place in my heart. These girls fill up my soul, and I love them all dearly. They are fierce kingdom warriors, with so many incredible traits I admire.
Team Hineni, you have stolen my heart. There’s nobody that I would rather struggle through foreign languages with, take lunch break naps with, have Wednesday night “blogging” with, and create a family with.
