Merry Christmas!
A couple months ago I was at a college retreat and in our talk we were having was about Jesus and why he came here. Well of course that answer is simple…he came to die on the cross. But one of the girls put it as he came on a rescue mission. That thought has not been able to stop crossing my mind. “Rescue mission”… He was not sent here to have fun and live a sinful life. God sent his beloved son down from the most perfect place to the most sinful place ever. He sent him to a world full of hurt and pain. He sent him to get tested by the devil time and time again. Jesus stayed perfect in our unholy place just so he could pay a price he did not deserve. Doing that he saved us from our sin, OURS not his. Our God loves us so much just to do that for us. He loves us so much he let his son be born in our world and live as we live just to rescue us from our sin! I think that is probably the coolest thing ever!
So Christmas, yes it is fun and it is a beautiful time of year but lets not forget to thank God for letting us have this holiday. To thank him for everything we have and the fact that he sent his son here so we can have eternal life in heaven with him one day and our sins will be forgotten. Lets love on everyone we can and take care of one another. I know personally that can be hard but in the end even if it makes you tired and weary that love you are pouring out will flood right back into you from our father! So I challenge you to start pouring out and not be scared. To let our awesome father pour right back into you because that is the best feeling in the world, do not be scared of him. God just wants to love you and hold you every step of the way, we just have to accept it.
“and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”-Ephesians? ?5:2? ?
God Bless! Thank you to those of you who have given and who are praying for me I am greatly appreciative! (:
