Hey Guys! I just want to give a HUGE THANK YOU!! To all the people that have been donating and praying for me! I have reached $6,284 and that is almost halfway to my finish line! The Lord has been so so so faithful in this journey so far for giving me such great supporters.
These past few months I have been trying to be more intentional on seeing the devil and crushing him (sound harsh? I hope so). He knows when we are up and doing good and he HATES when we are doing what our heavenly Father calls us to do. The enemy will do whatever it takes to get in our brains and make us turn around. I have found comfort in the verse Luke 10:19 “He is the enemy, but know that I have given you more power than he has. I have given you power to crush his snakes and scorpions under your feet. Nothing will hurt you.” It can be so easy to fall into the dark and get discouraged, but how much more awesome is it that our God will meet us right there and pull us up in one easy step. So preparing for this race sometimes I think it is easy to get discouraged and easy to listen to other people’s negative comments and start to get down on myself. But instead of getting down I have been able to just push those negative comments away knowing that they are not true. They are lies and OUR GOD is a God of Miricles and he can wipe out those lies if we give them to him.
I was also at a leadership conference this past weekend for young life and we learned a lot about reaching EVERY kid. About how being comfortable with being uncomfortable is the goal and that really hit me. I have had a lot of people ask me if I am “scared” about going on this race and I tell them no. Being scared is something the enemy tries to push at us to get us to not go. Well we are called to go, we are called to reach everyone that does not know God. So yes I will be going to places that will for sure make me uncomfortable at times but if everyone is scared to go into a certain part of the world or to a certain town or village who would reach them? How will they meet Jesus in that place? We are all called to go out and make disciples of all nations and I am so excited that God is going to make that possible with me.
