AFRICA!!
We are finally in Africa! Our last country! 🙁
We stay in a town called Nsoko in the middle of nowhere in a team house. There are 3 rooms and a dining room. My room has 17girls in it and a lot of ants… we are surrounding by green fields and trees. It is very beautiful here. Also it is very very hot.
Here our ministry consists of going to care points which are AIM supported (we get to see giraffes and zebras on the way there and home if they are close to the fence!!!). The kids go there after school to eat and it may be there only meal of the day. We get the chance to just hangout with them and love on them. My care-point has lots of older kids so they love to speak in English to us and talk to us about Jesus/quiz us on what we know.
Eswazi is one of the poorest countries and 60% of the population has HIV/AIDS which means a lot of the children don’t even have parents. The children really take care of each other here so the care-points really help them just be kids for awhile where they can play on the playground or kick around a ball and dance with each other.
This three months I think will be a challenge but I am also looking forward to it so much. I think the Lord will reveal a lot to us this month about the things deep inside of us that need healing and that need light brought to. I think he is going to push us in ministry when we are tired and hot but we have to push through and continue to get to know the children deeper.
Prayer request: that is becomes cooler where we are or God fives us a breeze during the day so we have more energy to give to the kids!(:
Thanks for reading!!
