I've only been in Cambodia for 5 days, and we're already having too much fun. On my second night, I ventured out with some of my favorite B-Squadders, and explored the Night Market. We found tons of scarves, t-shirts, Aladdin pants, jewelry, and fake Ray-Bans. But the most fun we had was getting a "Fish Pedicure." You stick your feet in this big fish tank, and these baby fish come and eat the dead skin off of your feet. Sound gross? Yeah, probably, but hey, when in Cambodia…

Don't worry, that wasn't the Eighth World Wonder I was talking about. We did see the ancient ruins of the city of Angkor Wat, which was absolutely incredible. There was a rumor going around that it was one of the Seven Wonders of the World, but after further research, we found it was only a finalist. Nonetheless, it was beautiful and definitely a must-see if you ever find yourself in Cambodia. Put it on your bucket list! Only, be warned, they will not allow you to tour the temples if you are pregnant, have a back-pack, have on shorts, or have on a SLEEVELESS shirt. Guess who wasn't allowed to partake…  Here are some pictures from our tour.

Oh, hello!

Fun with columns.

Just hangin' out at the library.

Women are not allowed to touch monks (even baby monks!) or they have to go through an extensive cleansing process. So we stood at a safe distance.

The temple I was not allowed to enter because of my scandalous sleeveless arms.

This month we are living at and working with YWAM (Youth With a Mission) base in the city of Siem Reap. We have beds (yay!), supposedly hot showers, and no AC (ah well, I guess you can't be so lucky all the time). We will be working with youth and teaching English. We start bright & early tomorrow morning! More news to come!
