I am back in the States, and it is time to buckle down and get to business. Let the fundraising begin!
For those of ya’ll who don’t know, I had the amazing opportunity to go on a missions trip to the Dominican Republic in the beginning of November! It was an amazing trip, and my first oversees missions experience. I find it a little crazy that I committed to going on the Race before even getting on a plane before, but hey, when God calls you to something, you better say yes. All this to say, I was a little nervous about the trip because…what if I realized that I am not cut out for missions abroad? What if I don’t like traveling? What if this wasn’t what God called me to do? What if? What if? What if?
But what if this: What if God used that trip to solidify His calling in my life (He did!)? What if I felt like I never wanted to leave the people of the DR? (I didn’t!)? What if I loved traveling, even the layovers and long bus rides (oddly enough, I did!)? What if? What if? What if?
Let me just tell you that this trip was awesome, God used our group, just a bunch of high school seniors, to do some pretty cool stuff. We held VBS programs in sugar cane villages, completed work projects for families, distributed food, shared Christ in Santo Domingo, and let God use us in a whole bunch of other ways too. But what was really neat about this trip was how God worked in my own life.
Preparing for the World Race is crazy, there is a lot of work to do before you launch. I was just starting to get on board with the process when I left for the trip. But even then, God was at work, and I met a terrific guy named Mickey (Mickey if you’re reading this…shout out to you! You’re great!) who talked me through a lot of logistics and areas in which to pray and prepare my heart for my time on the Race. There were a lot of questions in my head, and a lot of things on my “World Race To Do List”. In the Dominican, I got a chance to step back and focus and prepare myself. I left with a renewed confidence and passion.
So now I am back in the States, and ready to dive all in.
My first fundraiser is a Carmel Sale. So if you live in the Elkhart, South Bend, or Indianapolis areas in Indiana, hit me up! All of the carmels are homemade, by yours truly. Every year we make them as gifts, and not to brag, but they are pretty darn good! But this year they are being made for a purpose.
Half dozen……….$6
Dozen…………….$10
Fundraising 15….$15
Email me at [email protected] or text me at (574) 584-6910 with your orders! They are packaged so that you can give them as gifts, or eat all of the goodness yourself!

PRAYER REQUESTS
1) I have been overwhelmed by positive reactions to my decision to be a part of the Race, thank you so much! But please pray that I can keep getting the word out there. I need as much support as I can get!
2) Please be praying that all of the orders stay organized. I am anticipating a lot of orders to come through, and keeping everything running smoothly is going to take a lot of work!
3) Patience! Patience! Patience! I am so excited to go on the World Race, and I am confident that this is what God is calling me to do. But, it is so easy for me to get ahead of myself. God has a lot in store for me on the World Race, but He also has a lot to teach me here in Indiana too.
