Oh fall! The season of PSL. Pumpkin. Spice. Lattes. America has an obsession with them! It seems to embody what fall is. It captures the smells, flavors, and experiences of fall with one simple drink. Kind of amazing. When the PSL comes out for the season, you know it is fall.
For as many falls as I can remember, I have spent them generally the same. The start of another school year. Cross country meets, bonfires, scarves and sweaters. But this one is a bit different. This year, I wont be seeing farmfeilds turn a beautiful gold to complement the reds, oranges, and yellows of the woods, carving pumpkins for Halloween, or stuffing my stomach with food at Thanksgiving. This fall will be radically different than any other fall I have experienced. Because in only ten days, I will be leaving the PSL behind for a flight to Ecuador.
In all honesty, it is freaking me out a little bit. Ok… maybe a lot bit. This not to say that I am not excited! I am so excited to embrace this next chapter in my life! I am getting anxious as the day I leave gets closer, but I have complete trust in God and I am ready for him to work in and through me around the world. This is something completely new for me, and out of my comfort zone. So, these next ten days I would like to invite you to pray with me. I will be posting a daily blog with updates and prayer requests. Prayer is powerful, because our Lord is powerful. And I know he is going to do some pretty great things.

Day One: Logistics
Logistics is a big fancy word that basically means the coordination of something complex. There are a lot of moving parts with the world race; there are many people, places, and things. Getting everything and everybody on the right bus, to the right place, at the right time takes a lot of work!
I ask that you pray for all of these little details, and the people who plan them.
Pray for smooth planning, and that we will be able to see the Lord’s providence through the details of travel.
