I joke around a lot that the Lord must really, really want me going on this trip! But it is so true, I have been able to watch door after door open to new opportunities and blessings. Especially in the area of finances. Fundraising is scary, the number 13,805 is a big scary number. The cost of gear really adds up, even if you get gear donated! Vaccines cost an arm and a leg, and airplane tickets ain’t cheap my friends. All of this to say that finances are a big part of the world race.
Day Seven: Finances
While praying for finances today, please keep my squad in your prayers because many of them are not yet completely funded. Pray that doors will open up and support will rush in.
Also, please be praying for the handling of finances while we are abroad. Pray that we will have the finances nessasary to be as effective as possible, and show as many people the love that we share in Christ.
Dealing with finances and fundraising for the world race is daunting, and something that you absolutely can not do on your own. You have to rely on the Lord to get you through. Maybe that it why it is such an catalyst for growth in our relationship with Christ. It takes you outside of your comfort zone. The comfort zone is a nice and, well, comfortable place! But nothing ever grows there
