I´m back! Did ya´ miss me?
For the last two weeeks, I have been away from media. That means no
talking to friends and family, no spotify, no instagram, no music, no
email, ect. And no blogging! I only made exceptions when it was
absolutly nessasary. The purpose of this fast was so that I could
really focus on connecting with my team, strengthening my relationship
with the Lord, and immersing myself in ministry. It was worth it!
These past two weeks have been jammed packed with so many amazing things.
I will make sure to tell you so many amazing stories about my time so
far in Ecuador, and all about my life here, but first, let´s start
from the begining, launch!
A big THANK YOU to everyone who prayed for me while I was in Atlanta
for launch. Launch is a few days where we recieve last minute
training, and we prepare to leave America. It was an amazing
experience, and I left feeling confident that I was answering the call
that the Lord has on my life.
That being said, coming into launch was so surreal. I have spent so
long looking forward to leaving for the race, that it wasn’t until I
had already been here for a while that it finally began to sink in
that this was really happening. Like now, right now. I am going on the
World Race, just as I am, at this moment. It was a weird feeling.
Whenever I imagined myself launching for my race, I always imagined
someone else doing it, a different Sydney. A more mature Sydney. A more
intelligent Sydney. Someone more spiritual, wise, and prepared.
But now I realize that this is it. I am here. This Sydney is living in
Ecuador. This Sydney feels a little unprepared. She has no idea what
the future has in store. She has questions upon questions left to ask.
Living in Ecuador, it is amazing to see how my doubts melt away in the
presence of His provision and power.
He has the right Sydney. The Sydney that I am right here and now. And
that fact in itself is so comforting. Crazy, but still very
comforting.
As I get the chance, I will be posting blogs about our ministry host,
our city, and how God is moving in our lives as well.
