When I was six years old I told my mom I was going to write her a story. And I did; a six word story. And what it lacked in plot it made up for in a picture of God and I in red colored pencil.

Eleven years later, I still love Jesus so much much, and He is writing the next chapter in my story.

The story began a few short months ago with the decision to go on the World Race Gap Year.

When you are a senior in high school, you have a lot of decisions to make and a lot of questions to answer. In all honesty, it gets pretty stressful! But it all boils down to one question.

Who do you want to be?

When I gave my life to Christ I decided that I wanted to follow Him for the rest of my life. As I grew up and started to face all of the pressures life brings, I had to face that question. I know I want to be following Christ, but WHO do I want to be?

I want to be a person who is living every day for Christ.

I want to be a person who is filled with compassion.

I want to be a person who is the hands and feet of Christ.

I want to be a person who is making a lasting impact.

I want to be a person who is consumed with passion.

I want to be a person who is continually growing in faith.

I want to be that kind of person.

And I cannot wait to see how God is going to write this next chapter of my story on the World Race. I can’t wait to see His will accomplished in me and through me!

I will be using this blog to share a little bit of my story with you! Subscribe to get an email when I post something new.

I’ll keep you posted!

Love,

Sydney

CURRENT PRAYER REQUESTS:

1)      I am beginning the fundraising process! Please pray for boldness to approach those who God has already laid on their hearts to partner with me financially in my journey. (And the wisdom to know who they are!)

2)      Please pray that my squad and I will become closer to Christ in the coming months, as we prepare to leave our comfort zones far behind!

3)      I get asked a lot of questions about the world race! Please pray that I will have the right words to answer them. Also, that every answer will point directly back to Christ.
