To all my supporters, friends, and family! I have big news! I will be taking a trip of a lifetime! For 9 months starting this August through an organization called World Race, I will be traveling to Guatemala, Lesotho, and Cambodia. I will be in each of those countries for 3 months with a mission! This mission trip suits who I am, and has always held an interest in my heart. So here’s a small overview of who I am and what I am about… I have always had a passion in helping others. Whether that be close friends and family, or those who are less fortunate seeking my help. With that said the opportunity of going on the World Race caught my eye the first I heard of it. So what better than to be out in the world helping those in need? These values that I hold come from my family, friends, and especially God! My family has always been a huge part of my life. Starting with my Mom; a strong women. Which she proves each and every day! She is the most supportive, caring, heartfelt, sociable, and kind person I have ever came across, and I think my three siblings can agree! I can say with full honesty that my Mom has shaped who I am today. Then there is my Dad. My best friend. A hardworking, successful, loving, and what can I say…“geeky” guy! What else do I have to say other than my first word was “Dada”, meaning Dad of course! He is my biggest supporter and especially my greatest advocate. At a young age people reminded me of how similar I was to him, and to be honest I didn’t see it! But now, I am proud to say I am just like my Dad! That being: strong willed, caring, big hearted, and a “little” intense. Where I would be without my Dad, I don’t know. I can’t go without mentioning my siblings so I will start with Ben, and let me remind you i’m not starting with favorites, I am doing this in order of oldest to youngest! Ben has always been something of a father figure to me. If he wouldn’t have toughened me up at a young age I am not sure I would be anything like I am. I have always thought of my brother as tough, caring, outgoing, determined, and fatherlike. He is never afraid to say what is on his mind. He has pushed me into doing things I wouldn’t have been able to do myself, like watching and helping me studying for a test until I feel fully ready and I mean 100% ready. Or him making me do chores I would never want to do, only making me do them to please my Mom. With that said I look up to my brother, especially being as successful as he is! Then is goes to Sam the complete opposite of Ben. He is quiet, but when it comes to my well being he is the most protective and supportive brother! He is sweet, caring, funny, and smart. I am most alike Sam because we both have a tender side to us, but when something doesn’t go the way we want, we do everything in our power to make the best of it. I love my family, and with that said, the first thing I think of when it comes to the love of my family, I think of my little sister Lauren. I love this girl to death. She is strong, funny, loving, and especially beautiful. Me and my sister fight, sometimes to blood. But I will never love anyone more than I love my sister. She is only 16, but I can already see how great of a woman she will become. And have a great amount of hope for her and her future. You may wonder why I took all that time to talk about each and every one of my family members, but I am who I am because of all of them, and with that said, I love you all so much! Who I am today is why I am going on this life changing trip, so thank you to all who have supported me over the years, I truly wouldn’t be where I am today without all of you.
