it's on nights like tonight that i miss my grandma.

right when i’m in the midst of big adjustments and the process of uprooting my life to do something a bit out of the ordinary, with many people around me doubting and discouraging me, she’d normally be the one “rooting” me on, the antagonist of the story, if you will. she always supported everything i chose or was called to do, and in this case with the World Race, she’d say,

“go! make disciples, do whatcha do!”…..just as Jesus said.

i still love that about her. i cherish it.

i love that i still wear her shirts and hear her laugh and re-read old cards she wrote to me.
her gumption and whit and love for God’s people are attributes i hope to fully embody one day.

{thankful and drained, all in one breath.}

but He says this:

" 'though the mountains be shaken, & the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken, nor my covenant of peace be removed,' says the Lord, who has compassion on you."
{isaiah 54:10}

what a wonderful thing, that she gets to watch my journey from Heaven's great view.
