So, the past couple of months I have been so excited about the fact that I even get to do this.  In less than a year, I will have gotten to go to at least 11 different countries.  ELEVEN!!  Most people don't get to do this in there lifetime, let alone in a year!  I feel SO lucky, SO loved, and SO blessed by God!  This is a gift, a huge gift and I am loving it!  I love traveling, I love people, and I love adventure.  I love seeing the world!

Here are a few photos from my time in Cambodia:

Playing pictionary in our English class.  I loved teaching these students.  I usually had around 60 students in my class.  They were so much fun!

An amazing group from English class.  A few of these girls I was able to go out to lunch with.  Lovely, the girl standing next to me, calls me her sister. smiley  Seak Houy, the girl in the blue, is SO sweet.  Went out to lunch with her and she found me some bananas in coconut milk at the market, which I LOVE!!!

We visited the Killing Fields and the S21 museum from the genocide in 1975-79 when about 20% of the population in Cambodia was killed.  It was awful.  I am so glad I went and it was so educational, but at the S21 museum, I wasn't able to be in there for very long because it was so incredibly awful I could not handle it anymore.  So awful, so cruel.

The bakery where Leslie and I ran to every morning to get breakfast.  The bread was SO amazing.

Several of the girls from youth group and church.  Loved these girls.  LOTS of energy!!!  This night we had gone to get ice cream, pretend we were ice skating, and do a flash mob, sort of……..smiley

We were able to spend a few days at the beach, thanks to the king's birthday!  Possibly the most beautiful and most fun beach I have been to.  Several of us also took a boat ride to some islands.  We MIGHT have gotten stranded on one of those islands for a few hours because of a bad storm and also MIGHT have seen a boat capsize because of it…… it was still tons of fun though.  I should have known it was going to happen, I had the Gilligan's Island theme song running through my head that morning.smiley

Piseth and Ty.  These two boys are from the English class and youth group.  They surprised us at the airport to say goodbye and brought us flowers too!

Here is a link to a video Trena, my team leader, made of our time here in Cambodia, if you are interested in watching!    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9RIqdeiYSk&feature=youtu.be

Here is also a link to a video my friend Nicole made of our time in Cambodia.  It has a clip from the storm we were in while out in the ocean.smiley

SO ON TO MALAYSIA….We have been here for almost 2 weeks and it is SO beautiful!  We are living on an island this month.  AN ISLAND!!!!  We live in Penang, Malaysia for the next two weeks until we leave for Africa!

Here are some photos from my time so far:

The food here is incredible.  We live right next to Little India, so there are Indian restaurants everywhere.

This is a 10 minute walk from where we live and we are only a 20 minute ride from a beach!

Our ministry is a little different this month.  Sort of a little bit of everything.  We are helping serve food to the homeless, helping at a Home for the Blind doing filing and paper work, hanging out with people who live on the streets (I fell in love with a little girl last night, hopefully pictures to come), talking with sex workers, tutoring children in English, and here, in this photo, we are helping at a hospital to raise funds for children who can't afford heart surgery.

Went hiking up Penang Hill this past Saturday and saw these adorable monkeys on the way up.  We were hanging out with a group of about 12 of them!

Malaysia is a muslim country, so you see people covered up and in burkas everywhere, even at the beach.  These ladies are about to go tubing in the water in their burkas.

This is me parasailing! It was my first time and it was so much fun!

We have two weeks left here and I plan on eating India food everyday, going hiking in the national park, going to monkey beach, and hanging out with the sweet little children I met on the streets.  We will be leaving for Africa on June 28th.  Thank-you to everyone of you who is making this trip possible for me!  I can't believe we are to the half-way mark!

***As for the funds needed by July 1st:  I am only $600 away from being fully funded!!!  I can't thank-you enough!
