The past few days I was at launch by the airport.
The feeling at launch was weird to say the least. It seamed like everyone had different feelings about it.
However one feeling kept popping up at different times for all of us.
IS IT TIME TO LEAVE YET?
There was the occasional let’s over eat this, cause we won’t have it for so long, or let’s see how many times you can go to Waffle House in the span of 4 days.
All jokes aside, it was a needed thing. We had meeting, talks and highlights of the important stuff we learned at training camp.
We also got to see the other squads starting in august. It was great to worship and pray over them and have them pray over us.
Parent launch?! I wasn’t a part of that, cause I had my own meetings to go to.
But as we talked about it as a team and heard each say how it went for their parents (or siblings as it was my case). I can tell you it was AWESOME.
As it is said many times, we choose this. But for our family it was simply thrown in their lap. And this gave them an opportunity to get to know each other and find support and company in this journey we signed them up for.
Even though it was fun, and we learned a lot, I’m happy to say it’s over and we are in Colombia!!!
We have an exciting bus ride ahead of us, which allows us to see some of the country. ??
