Yesterday was one of those days where you thought you where going to have ministry but end up not having any for various reasons. So since we didn’t have ministry Cole, Megan and I decide to hike up the mountain that we live at the base of. This time it only took us 25 minutes to climb up to the plateau, even though it had rained the night before and the trail was slippery. The view was spectacular and clear.

On our way back down we took the dirt road, but it wasn’t dirt it was mud. As we where walking we came across a van that was stuck in the mud, Cole helped push it out. As we where leaving Bri and Luke came running up. So all together we followed the van, after a little while it got stuck trying to go up the muddy hill. So we helped them push it out.

But of course it kept getting stuck, after a while all 3 of us girls sat in the back of the van hoping the weight would help the van get some traction, but it didn’t. After about an hour and a half, one ran back to his house and got some rope and we filled the van the rest of the way out.

It took us about 2 hours to get the van out. On our walk back home it started raining and hailing on us, but thank goodness there was a overhang we found that we stood under till it was just sprinkling. When we started out on our hike we where planing on only being gone an hour and be back in time for lunch. But it actually took us about three and a half hours, so we missed lunch.
But I believe God wanted us to go on that hike and help get the van out. He put us in a spot where we could be help to the people, where we could be a light for Him. Everything has a purpose, even us not being able to do ministry so we could help these other people.
