We only have 13 days left here in the Philippines and there is so much more I want to see done! Though I am in this nation for a short time God is showing me long term things He wants to see done here. So, praying and working to set things in motion that will continue long after I am forgotten here. Let me share with you a few of the things God has allowed me to be a part of setting into motion…
– the community we go to everyday coming together to live as a community. we were surprised as we started to get to know people that many of them did not know one another. We have been connecting them so that they will grow good relationships and begin to live as a community that is pleasing to God. God has shown me some of the people He would like to see be the heart of this, so, please pray for Minda, Gilbert, Irene, Shirley, Ivy, Lola, Marisol, Angela, & Darell that they will continue to bring their neighbors together. Also pray for more men to step up here. 
Here is Minda & her son, one of her 4 children, in front of her home. She is the reason we ended up in the community we are in and she is an amazing woman of God. Her and her husband, Gilbert, will do great things for God. Pray for strength & boldness for them.
-God showed me that though many call there significant others husband or wife, many are not actually married even after they have many kids. So, there are obstacles with this from getting birth certificates, transport to the government office, money to get the papers, birth certificates taking a week to 3 weeks to arrive, money for the wedding itself… All things are possible for God so I am helping to set this into motion for 6 couples! We are going to somehow get to the gov’t office the day after tomorrow and get done and ordered everything that each couple needs. I am arranging with a Pastor to marry them and He will do a seminar for them to have some counseling. The church has offered to do this and not charge the couples, though if they all want rings and dresses we will have to see God come through in a big way! I so wish this group wedding will happen before I leave but if God does not allow me to be there I am going to set all in motion so I will leave knowing it is happening soon!
This is a big deal because Marriage has lost so much meaning here and God wants to see these couples be a beacon of light for the sanctity of Marriage here in this nation! Please pray everything gets done quickly and smoothly and nothing is forgotten!
-God put into my path a young girl named Nika. She is 11 or 12 years old, blind, can’t walk on here own, lives alone though both parents (not together anymore) live near by, eats sometimes with a cat that likes to steal her food, and gets to live with the rooster when her father puts it in there! No one helps her go to the restroom and she doesn’t get bathed often so where she sleeps, hangs out, occasionally eats or gets bathed, and soils is all on the same platform. She has a dirty pillow and a sheet. The place smells of urine and when she cries out no one goes to her. Her younger bother, Jerry (10yrs), brings her food when we do the feedings, and her little sister, Maka (5yrs), comes around when we are around. Both of them live with two separate aunts.
Here is a picture of me & Nika the first day I met her. She has more joy than you would think possible and loves to sing. She sang for us and I get so much joy seeing her smile when we sing, talk, or just hold her. She is a special young girl.Some things are already put into motion that are changing her situation. It has been hard because we are loving on her and spending time with her but have to put her back in that horrible place every night. I am praying for her to get a new home quickly. The missionaries we are working with have friends who work with the blind. They have met Nika, are going to bring her to the doctor to get checked out and treated, they are also started a case study on her to get her into a program for help and school. Tomorrow morning my team with a few others are going to start the day with worship and prayer over Nika. I am asking God to bring her healing and restore her body. She has very small eyes so they were never fully developed, but I know God can develop them now! Though not just here eyes, her skin is in bad shape, her legs are weak, her back hurts if she sits too long, and I want to see all of that change tomorrow.. will you pray with us for this?
