I have been in Thailand for a bit over a week. We ended up in a small village in the middle of the country. Not what I was expecting and I am sweating even more than in the Philippines! I don’t have a computer anymore and the internet is not so accessible here. I still need to raise $6,675 and am not sure how to do that from here. Today we drove 2 hours to get to a mall to cool off and try to get wifi and ended up having to pay for here… yikes!

Well, it is all worth it.. the constant bug bites, the heat, the sweat beads on my face all the time, the lack of contact with the rest of the world… because nothing matters it the light of who God is and what He has done for us. This month we are building a wall, teaching English, learning a Thai dance every night at the ornate temple to perform with Thai women on the 16th. When school is back in session we will go into the schools to help. Not sure what else God will have us do but I am praying that it is much more than this… that we will serve this village by helping them discover how to make an income without a family member traveling to big cities far away to get a job, so that women here won’t be desperate enough to go work in the bars and try to get a westerner husband to take her away (even though they can’t communicate well with each other and the men that come seem to only want sex and to be cared for), so they can have a home to be proud of!

It hurts to think of leaving in the middle of this amazing journey and year of surrender to serve others completely. I need to raise $4000 by the end of May. I am turning 35 on the 18th of this month so if you want to get me a present please donate to help me continue. If you are good at fundraisers and want to do one on my behalf that would be amazing!! If anyone donates $100 or more I will commit to send them a postcard from each nation from here on out… Please pray for me & my team that our eyes are open to see all that we can do to love, serve, encourage, and empower the people we are living amongst here in the middle of Thailand. Thank you.

Sorry this is short with no pictures but time is up and I have not been able to upload my pictures yet… eventually they will be seen. In the meantime you might want to shot to get a postcard to get a sense of what the places look like 😉
