Thanks to your help, I have been able to raise all $15,500 of the support I needed in order to be able to do The World Race! That’s an insane amount of money. I remember sitting with my friend Elina at her dining room table at the beginning of this year, wondering how I ever would be able to raise this much money…and yet, here we are.

And honestly, I never could have raised that much money. Not on my own. This entire journey, but especially the fundraising aspect of it, has taught me over again the importance of the body of Christ working together as just that…as a body. There is no way I could have done this without your partnership with me— through your prayers, and your generosity in giving so sacrificially of your time and in supporting me financially.

From spending hours designing fundraising/support cards for me (Haley!) to calling churches and businesses to help me figure out ways to fundraise (Elina!) to spending hot afternoons washing cars with me (Meredith, Katie, John, Jeremiah, Andrew, the Humphreys, and my family!) to even holding a cookout to help me meet my deadline while I have been on the race (my amazing small group!)…

From holding tea parties so I could hear from fellow missionaries about their experiences serving overseas to simply having coffee or dinner with me to catch up to donating so many things for my yardsales to help me raise money to handing out support cards to simply supporting me by being my friend…

From taking the time to message or email or comment on a blog or on a picture on Instagram or to plan a skype date, I have felt your support in overwhelming ways.

These are just a few examples of ways God has used you to speak and physically show truth and encouragement into my life, simply by following his leading.

I am so blessed by your friendship, and by your support. Knowing you support me truly means the world to me, and I would not be able to be here without you. Thank you for partnering with me, and for joining along with me on this journey.

I pray that God blesses you over and beyond the way you have blessed me. And I truly thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joybecause of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:3-6)

And I’ll close with Phil. 1:9-11,

This is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
