I just got back from World Race training camp! It was such a wonderful time, and made me all the more excited to go on the actual Race!

Here are some highlights:

Getting to meet my squad.  We are T-Squad, and there are 14 of us—7 guys and 7 girls. We will be in 3 separate teams, two teams with five people and one with four people. We have gotten to know each other over the last 10 days, and believe God has a wonderful purpose for bringing us together! #7and7 for #11n11!

Every day we had several sessions with themes like: the Kingdom of Heaven, the Holy Spirit, Community, the Mission of God, and the most eye opening: The 10/40 Window.

We also had awesome times of worship with all 4 squads in the worship center!

My favorite night was when our squad had a bonfire and we ate foil-wrapped dinners and s’mores! It was an awesome bonding time as a squad! We also sang worship songs around the fire with my guitar.

One of the days the guys went on a man hike, so it was all girls on site. We talked about sisterhood and did workshops on women from the Bible.

On our last full day, we had squad wars, where each squad did a dance and competed in games. Please pray for Allie, my teammate. Her ankle was broken during one of the games. Please pray that she will be fully healed by launch in January.

Leading up to camp, I have been thinking a lot about being fully surrendered to God, not having anything hindering my relationship with Him. During camp, the worship sessions were very focused on dealing with our internal conflicts. Whether it be unforgiveness, shame, or accepting God as our Father. God brought up to me someone that I had not forgiven, and I released that person, and felt so much freedom! When we hold these things in us, we aren’t trusting God that he is in control. God is so good, and he truly can free us from all the things that Satan tries to tangle us in.

“If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples. And you will know the truth and the truth will make you free.” John 8:31

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

Here is a video I put together of highlights from training camp!
