So I wrote this a few days ago, just haven't had a chance to post it. Will post more about my new ministry soon!!
So…
Thailand…
What can I say? If I didn’t believe in spiritual warfare before we arrived in Thailand, after spending a month there, I no longer have any doubts. It was a rollercoaster of a month. Emotions flowed constantly; good, bad, encouraging, disheartening, we experienced it all.
During many points in the month, my team and I discussed the rollercoaster we were on and tried to figure out what part of the ride we were currently in at that given time. Eventually, we came to two conclusions:
- Rollercoasters get a bad rap… They are really fun rides and everyone looks forward to going on one, but the moment the ground of life starts to shake under our feet, we say we’re on a rollercoaster like it’s a bad thing.
- If we were on the rollercoaster of life, the God was our safety harness and nothing else mattered…
Admittedly, it took (at least me) about a week to reach the second conclusion, but once the realization was made, freedom was found. Freedom from the ups and downs and loops life often throws our way. Freedom from worry. Freedom from stress. Freedom to live knowing I’m being held in place by the strongest power possible.
What will you choose the next time you find yourself on a “rollercoaster”? I suggest choosing to rely on your safety harness… I know I will!!
Until next time!!
