You get confused about things like how to cross
the street in a new country and/or how to point in a culturally correct manner.
You find yourself speaking in nothing but simple
sentences… Usually with some sort of accent…
“English is hard” is a common statement when you
trip over your tongue and you don’t usually have to finish the correct sentence
for your team to follow what you’re saying.
Your water bottle has become your new set of
keys… You can’t do anything without it and are constantly misplacing it (maybe
the second half is just me).
You are completely comfortable being a jungle
gym… In fact, it’s weird being around kids and NOT becoming one.
You have lost track over whether you have lost
weight or your clothes are loose because they’ve been hung out to dry so many
times.
When you see a spider or bug or anything that
scares you, you calmly remark on it or its size and continue with what you were
doing (avoiding whatever it was to the best of your ability, of course).
It’s a great (but confusing) day when you don’t
have oatmeal, peanut butter or rice at some point. Especially since…
Peanut butter can be put on almost anything and
fixes almost anything (food-wise).
Having enough water pressure to shower with is
REALLY exciting! However…
A bucket shower is typically faster.
