My time in Ukaine was utterly amazing! Fire Glory Freedom paired up with the Tikkam Olam this month to do several projects under the Blessing ministry, that is the Blessing family: Mark, Rhona, Bria, Lindsey, and Krista, who have been missionaries here in the Ukraine for many years. The majority of our work was done in their home in Domazhyr, a smaller village outside of the city of L'viv. We were finishing the upper story of their new home Beth El, which will serve as a furlough house for other missionaries throughout the world. We painted, sanded, stained, laid new floors, cleaned, gardened, and then painted some more. The Blessings are looking to have Beth El ready for visitors in the year to come!

Other projects included a three-day Bible school, weekly English club for teens and adults, and a softball camp in the village.

Vacation Bible school

Domazhyr village founded in 1240

We visited the home of a Holocaust survivor, Frau Oleg. There he had this chair that the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria had sat in. In Oleg's story of this chair, a assasin had sawed the leg of the chair part ways, so that it broke when the prince sat down. If he had not been caught and hurt himself, he would have never left and went to Sarajevo where he was killed. This chair could have possibly prevented World War I.
