Hi everyone! I just wanted to quickly update you with what has been going on the past two weeks.

We are working at an AIM base in Nsoko, South Africa.  The AIM base started in 2007.  We live in an incredible community that is called a ‘care point,’ including a medical clinic, a community garden that allows locals to buy plots, a church/preschool, a well, a soccer field, a kitchen, and a few homes for pastors and teams who come to work.

Adventures in Missions has 35 care points in Swaziland which all disciple those who live in the area, feed children six days a week, and provide for individuals through jobs or food when able.  They feed five to six thousand children throughout the country daily.  Every week they have discipleship for the children.  They take individuals to medical clinics through their fund.  Many care for the elderly.  They also try to help with school fees for the children as school is free up until sixth grade, but afterwards they have to pay.

Every day I wake up to the beautiful African sunrise and end watching the sun go down and look at the stars so visible in the sky since we live in a village pretty far from civilization.  Our mornings consist of running through the bush alongside of a railroad track overlooking the mountains.  Afterwards, we start out day by playing with all of the children who flock to the care point before school. Then we proceed to do home visits to people in the community that AIM has already established relationships with.  We are able to go visit many people, hear some of their story, and encourage and pray for them in anyway needed.  I have loved so much getting to know those in the area.  Then we go to some of the other care points in the area and teach the children a bible story and a lesson.  It is a blessing singing songs, teaching bible stories, and playing with so many adorable African children.

I feel as though I am living in a dream continually.  Holding African children and spinning around in circles. Teaching them about Jesus. Running along the African dirt roads through the brush.  Encouraging those in Swaziland who have lost hope.

THANK YOU for allowing me to be here!

Here is a little more information for you about Swaziland so you know and can pray if you feel led.  It is the last monarchy in Africa, meaning the King has total control.  No one speaks poorly about the King. He has fifteen wives, which is not condemned.  Swaziland has the highest HIV/AIDS rate in the world, yet only 16% of the population has been tested.  Most children live with their ‘go-go’s,’ or grandmothers because the generation of 20-40 year olds has been wiped out due to AIDS.  1996 is the first time Swaziland was introduced to the bible, only 18 years ago.  Many people say they are Christians, but the doctrine they believe in is not biblical.  Please pray against the strongholds of hopelessness, apathy, poverty, and sexual immorality.

BIG news!!!!

I fly home on July 31st. I can’t wait to see everyone and catch up!!!
