Here I am, in a place financially that every Racer dreads being in. I am less than a month away from my fourth fundraising deadline of $11,000 and I am still $2,700 shy of meeting the goal. It is terrifying and thought consuming. Reality check, if nothing changes in the next three weeks I WILL be taken away from the mission field and sent back to America because I do not have the finances to continue. It hurts, it sucks, it is real, but it does not have to be.
I am currently on my third month of the trip and have already become more solidified in my faith and through that change I have been able to more greatly impact the world. I think back to memories of playing the role of Noah in our street play of Noah’s Ark and teaching English to children and adults in Transnistria. I remember nursing a bee sting that an unfortunate little boy received at our children’s summer camp where over 30 kids were saved. Yes, I even recall praying for healing with random people on the streets of Belfast. When I think of these memories, I ponder, what would have happened if I had not been there? Would the morals of Noah’s bible story have been as evident to the gypsy children? Would all 30 of the kids at camp have been saved? Would the people on the streets have still been prayed over for healing?
This is why I am coming to you to ask for your support to keep me on God’s race, the World Race. I am being bold and fighting for what I believe is God’s work, because I have seen God working. The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few, and I am asking YOU to help me be a worker so together we can harvest the plentiful, because it IS plentiful.
