Thanks for joining me on this journey! Here is a little bit of background for those of you who want to get to know me a little better!
The first thing you should know is that I have a hard time talking about myself, (I stared at this screen for about 10 minutes deciding where to begin)…So, here are some of the basics!
I was raised in Tampa, FL. I am 22, (turning 23 in February), and am currently finishing up my Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design at Palm Beach Atlantic University. By God’s grace and providence, I decided to minor in Cross Cultural Studies, which has led me to feel God’s call in my life for international missions, and thus, the World Race!
I was raised in a Christian home, never doubting God and his gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. However, growing up my life was consumed by my love for basketball and I never fully pursued a deep relationship with the Lord. Then, in high school and especially when I got to college, I began to see the ways in which God was calling me to step out in faith, seek him with all I had, and watch as he faithfully directed my steps. I began to break outside my comfort zone and developed a love for new experiences. Hobbies that I have come to enjoy are skydiving, scuba diving, roller-blading, and anything active and outdoors! I also love drawing, painting, exploring new places and cultures, and meeting new friends. I have come to realize that with each new experience comes a new understanding or perspective of who God is.
In the past couple of years, I have cultivated a passion for how God’s word relates to every culture for all time, and am humbled by the opportunity I have to be a part of his unfolding story by serving in South America this upcoming year. For me, this trip is a step of obedience and an act of surrendering to the Lord in new ways. God’s faithfulness and love are never ending, and I am so excited to be on this journey that He has set before me.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support, and for coming along side me in this great adventure!
