Month Two looked like…

36 hour travel day. We made it! Mountains everywhere I look. This place is beautiful. It seems chilly. No it’s REALLY chilly. All squad month means lots of people, I mean lots… lots of laundry. Lots of people in the bathroom. Lots of coffee. Lots of food. “Let’s play a game, what are we having for lunch today? I’ll go first, rice.” Rice, beans, tortillas, rice, pupusas, plantains, rice. You’re sick? She’s sick too? Incident reports, insurance, more incident reports. Ministry with disabled kids and adults. Lots of sitting, learning to be still. Learning how to love on God’s children in every way possible. Learning to read the Bible in Spanish. Patience. Sitting, dancing, walking, chasing. Wait, we lost Yolanda.. Walking here, walking there, walking everywhere. You want coffee, wifi, pupusas? Let’s go walk.  Adventure days full of mountains, Jesus, Jesus statues, more mountains. Time to process! Let’s process last month. Let’s process yesterday. Let’s process the last 5 minutes of your life.  Wait, it’s Thanksgiving? Awakening! Friends, our new family, food, worship, God. Learning how to process better. You’re sick again? Let’s process that. I need more coffee. Breaking barriers at ministry. Tearing walls down with God. Learning to do things not for God, with God. Ministry with Him, life with Him. EHMMEH. Fasting family. Processed. Getting my nose pierced? Processed. Hold up, I HAVE LICE?! “Would you like to process that?” Tears with God, tears after “SURPRISE”, tears at the end of ministry. This month is over? What happened? It feels like it went by so fast…

“Maybe you should process that.”
