Tonight a few of us who have the gift of prophecy and prayer got to head over to our host’s house. There we sat and talked with his wife for a bit about the church, the city of Sombor, the struggles and needs and current state of everything. We then spent the next period of time in prayer for everything we had discussed.

The church here is clinging to the thread of hope that help is coming soon. Times before they’ve had the offer or the idea that people/other missionaries were coming to Sombor to help, and for various different reasons it didn’t work out. Now, it’s almost as if they don’t dare to hope for fear that it doesn’t work out. But what is faith without hope? My prayer tonight for this church and this city is the restoration of hope; not just any hope but hope in our Lord. Lamentations 3:21-24 (MSG) reads “But there’s one other thing I remember, and remembering, I keep a grip on hope: God’s loyal love couldn’t have run out, his merciful love couldn’t have dried up. They’re created new every morning. How great your faithfulness! I’m sticking with God (I say it over and over). He’s all I’ve got left.” Even if God is all we have left, let us put our last breath of hope in Him, and He will restore.

Amen.
