God is so wonderful!

Okay, now that I have that out of the way I can start telling you guys about these shoes! 🙂 I know some of you are so excited & some of you are like, "What in the world? Another girl and her shoes…" Actually, the majority are probably the latter of the two. Haha.

I posted on facebook about a week or so ago about The World Race again and sent out a message to about 50 people. Well, a guy I've known practically my whole life responded and told me he was going to donate. I was so excited and completely taken aback. I know his circumstances and I wanted to tell him more than anything that it wasn't neccessary and just to pray. Of course, he ends his message with, "God laid it on my heart to donate…" and knowing this guy and knowing how much he is involved in church and that the Lord is such a big part of him and is in EVERYTHING he does, I did what my daddy always told me to do (and something I'm not very good at) and replied back, "Thank you.."

The week went by and I check my support account and it was still sitting at the same amount. I had the cash donations I had collected just waiting to be put in, but the credit card donations had moved. I was happy he decided to use the money he had said he was going to donate for other, more necessary things for himself and his family. I checked my support account last night and it had gone up by a significant amount. I just praised Jesus and silently prayed for the donor. When I saw the name, the breath was knocked out of me. He donated. He donated more than I had ever, ever expected.

I messaged him this morning and told him thank you so much. He is such a blessing and I am so thankful to have someone in my life like him and to encourage me and support me. His response was, "U welcome ill try to give u more soon that was just my shoe money i was going to buy new pare of shoes i haven't bought any shoes in almost 2 years. But ur mission more important than shoes."

A man, a friend, a supporter…believes that OUR mission to love and take the Lord's name to those around the world is more important than a new pair of shoes.

If that isn't encouraging to continue to do this, I'm not sure what is.

His selflessness, and giving up something that I'm 100% sure his needed, is something that I find refreshing and something that I feel like I need to improve upon.

Thank you SO MUCH!
