Your mission, should you choose to
accept it…

·
Spend
15-20 minutes silent before the Lord and ask Him how He would have you minister
for the day.

·
Go
out and meet the needs of the community that God lays on your heart.

What
would it look like if the above mission was the mission of the church? If there
were thousands of people doing these listening prayers, what would the world
look like? How would people think about Christianity? Would they now begin to
understand the power of Jesus and the missional focus of His purpose for His
people?

The
results could be staggering, exciting, and relevant to our world. The message
of Jesus could now actually affect the world instead of getting lost in the
shuffle of Sunday morning coffee and back-row naps.

We
forget that Jesus was a revolutionary! He threw tables around in a temple;
healed the sick; raised the dead; and confronted the religious authorities who
confined the people to laws and self-righteousness (which are more of a prison
than bars).

People,
it is time to wake up! There is a world that needs freedom and Jesus brings it.
We have confined God to a box that fits somewhere between our chores and
dinnertime. I would much rather join with Jesus as a revolutionary and sign up
for the edge-of-your-seat adventure He has in store for His followers! How
about you?
