Coming into South Africa, Month 6, I doubted if God could and would match my love and attachment to Swaziland. I thought it ALMOST impossible.

After a 24 hour bus ride from Durban to Cape Town… God showed up and proved once again that He is a good father who ONLY wants good gifts for His children.

Cape Town is hands down the most beautiful place to date I have ever laid my eyes on! I stand on our porch to see the beach mixed water of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, the Helderberg Mountains, and numerous vineyards and orchards. If you want to see or feel God, all you must do is open your eyes!

The youth at Life Church are amazing! Their stories are inspiring! If the younger generations around the world are anything like these teens, there is an incredible army of sons and daughters rising up.

Meet Michael. (My picture of him will not load ….) We walked to the grocery store together and he shared his story. He is 14 years old and an aspiring architect. His parents divorced many years ago. His father a diagnosed schizophrenic that ended up homeless and living in a tent along the ocean at his favorite place on the beach. One night his tent was swept up in the tide and rushed into the ocean. This is the night Michael lost his father.

As we were driving home from Teen Life Camp, we stopped at an overlook to take pictures. I heard a familiar voice, “Summer, you know how I was telling you about my father? This is where he passed away.” My heart immediately engulfed by my stomach wanted to wrap this young man in my arms. Instead, I asked how he felt about standing where his father was taken from him. His reply, “Look around at the beauty! How could I be angry at a place this beautiful? At least he was taken in a place he loved.” Incredible! God. Healed. His. Heart. This young man is an absolute jewel!

Please pray for the youth at Life Church. This is one of over 100+ stories and not the only one to impact my life. We left in tears as they have touched our lives forever.
