You make known to me the path of life. –Psalm 16:11

Over the past 6 months, it has become clear that the “something bigger” laid on my heart IS the World Race. He has made known that I am to lay down the comforts of home.

I love when people say to me, “I know this is what you really wanted to do.” What they do not understand is that this is NOT what I wanted to do, rather something I feel CALLED to do. I would love to sleep in my bed, with my pillow and fan, drive my car, and work my job. However, I resigned from the job I LOVE, bought a tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, 70-liter pack, etc. I AM WILLING TO GIVE UP WHAT I WANT for THE KINGDOM. HIS KINGDOM is more important than my wants and desires.

1 week of camp. 5 weeks until launch. 48 weeks of WR ministry.

The above equates to 54 weeks of intentional relationships with 1 common purpose of sharing The Lord’s favor all over the world.

Camping= something I avoided before WR training camp.

For those of you who truly know me, you know that camping is something I previously avoided at all cost. Before Training Camp, I had slept in a tent ONCE and swore I’d never do it again.

Training Camp= a week of raw community filled with facts and simulations to prepare for the WR.

It felt weird leaving camp saying, “It was really nice to have met you,” as the other 42 men and women on G squad are my family, the family that I will share EVERYTHING with over the next 11 months. Our family of 43 is composed of 10 men and 33 women, and we range from ages 22-35. From our family of 43, we are broken into 7 teams.

After many simulations throughout the week to prepare, I found myself sitting at a picnic table of 5 extremely extroverted women, and I was overcome with peace at the strong, confident, bold personalities surrounding me. Little did I know, this was the birth of team Golden Arrows. Golden because together we exude a light to those we come in contact with, and Arrows because they are strong, have an intended target in mind, and must be pulled back in order to release.

5 WEEKS UNTIL LAUNCH:

My goal for the next 5 weeks is to NOT wish away the time to build, foster, and grow my current relationships. I plan to spend time with The Lord, invest in those around me, support raise, and prepare for the next 11 months. Intentional is the word that keeps coming to mind. My prayer is to be intentional during this time.

If you would like to meet up in the next 5 weeks, please let me know. I’d love to share my heart!

Please be in prayer for squads D, E, F, and G as we take over ATL on June 29th and launch on July 3.
