Monday nights in Guatemala we have squad worship.
For me squad worship is a favorite out of all the team times/squad activities we do.
But the other night was different. Different in the best way.
It was a time of worship that is hard to explain. One where you had to be there.
So filled with the Holy Spirit.
This blog isn’t about how good worship was, but it’s about what made it so good… what God spoke to me during it.
“I promise” he said.
“I keep my promises.
It’s not in my character to not keep the promises I tell you.
It’s only in my character to fulfill the promises I have given you.
So believe me, when I say I promise, I’m going to keep it.
Stop comparing me to people in this world and people in your life.
People in your life have broken promises they have made to you, but I’m not like them.
I don’t break promises.
You need to have faith in what I tell you even when you don’t feel like anything is going your way.
Trust me even when you don’t believe what I’m telling you.
I’m saying I promise, so I promise.
I promise.
I promise.
I promise.
I promise.
So trust me in my promises.”
– God
I’m listening Lord.
I’m ready to trust your promises, something I should have started doing a long time ago.
I have faith you’re gonna keep your promises…
Because that’s just your character.
I feel like someone else needed to read those words as well.
Thanks for reading!!
