I have great news everyone!  I have a whole new team entirely! We have a pretty goofy team name, Pepper Rangers! It's inspiration consists of power rangers, a youtube video, and the scripture that talks about being a salt and light in the world. The feel of this team is pretty light hearted and fun, but at the same time an extreme capability to go into the depths of contemplation an introspection. We've only has one team time so far, but I can't wait to do these last 3 month with these people.

Our team consists of Julie Dickie (team leader), Abby Weightman, Molly Williams, Melanie Heath, Heather Miller, and last but most certainly not least, my buddy, Jan Thoden! The new team is like an ice cold bottle of Gatorade on a hot summer day, extremely refreshing. It's great to get to finish the race with brand new faces. It as a boost of excitement that was similar to the one felt at the beginning of the race. It's very motivating and I would even argue that it's somewhat of a moral booster, re-motivating everyone to finish out the race strong.

When we were at debrief they told us team changes would be made, and obviously we saw them coming seeing as how some of us only spent one month with a new team then went into Manistry month. What made this team change fun and interesting was how our squad leaders went about presenting the changes. (future squad leaders take note!) Each of us brought one passport picture to our session that night. They mixed up the pictures and assigned certain ones to certain people according what team they were on. You would receive someone else's photo but had to place it on your forehead and figure out who you were by asking question about the person you had. Then we had lists of names of folks on the squad posted on signs. Once you figured out who you were, you looked for that name among the different lists, and the people gathered around that list would be your new team.

Once I found out who my team was I was thrilled. I had new faces to get to know better, Jan and I were back on the same team, and now I had people crazy about football on my team! AMEN! Needless to say (but I'm going to say it anyways) the next 3 month are going to be epic and dare I say super fun!

Be blessed,
