(To get the full affect of what I’m trying to deliver in this blog play “In the arms of an Angel” while reading)… (I listened to it on repeat while writing it)… (Don’t judge me lol)
So I’ve been avoiding making this blog, but at the same time, I’ve been wanting to write it. Straight up, the hardest part about this mission trip might be not being able to take my best buddy with me. Dooley the Boxador has been my best buddy through my darkest times, and has helped me battle loneliness time and time again. If God can work through animals than He has most certainly worked through Dooley. He sleeps in my bed at night, kicks me when he wants more room, constantly wants to play fetch, always begs me for my food, and in these last two months with him I want to spoil him as much as I can. Dooley is my favorite distraction. Whenever I talk to him somehow my voice sounds like miss piggy from the Muppets.
List of Dooley’s Nicknames: (He has a lot)
Bubba Doo
Doo
DooDoo
DooDoo Bear
Buddy
Bubba
My Little Babooshka
Puppy
I don’t really know where I was going with this blog but I do know that I wanted to do one for my dog before I left. God blessed me with this wonderful little mutt back in 2010. At first He didn’t seem like too much of a blessing seeing as how he has cost us a bunch of money in property damage and medical bills, but to me He is worth every penny. I am a strong believer that God works through all kinds of things, especially animals, and especially this dog. So I guess this is me basically giving thanks to God for putting Dooley in my life. Here’s a short tribute to my pup and how awesome he’s been to me!
