What had first motivated me to do this trip was actually seeing pictures from my friend Cam travel around the world. I knew that God wanted me fully invested in him but I never really realized how it was possible. I guess I always thought that you should study the word, go to church, then hope for the best when its time to go back to school, work, or being with friends. I had asked Cam what it is he does to be able to travel like he does, and he said that he was a missionary. He said the only qualifications you need is a calling from God, which was good because all i had was a fork lift certification and maybe 30 hours of college credit under my belt. Finally a way I can make God my entire life where He can use my passions and gifts to glorify him! He named off a couple of ministries and The World Race sounded the most exciting. I checked out the catalyst confrence with Brandon Boyd on youtube and automatically fell in love with the idea! I applied as soon as I could, and the rest is history! One of my goals with the World Race is to learn how to put God first in eveything I think, say, and do. I want to be fully engulfed in Him.
