I like sports (especially basketball) hanging out with friends, reading good books, good music, coffee (chai tea, hot chocolate, etc.) and church.
Well, I grew up in a good Christian home. I am the oldest of five, and my siblings are a lot of fun. As long as I can remember my dad has been a Pastor. I knew a lot about the bible stories growing up because I was always in church. My summers were when I seemed to be the closest to God. I would go to a Christian camp for several weeks and counsel there. I started to read my Bible every day, and eventually I made the decision to go to Moody Bible Institute.
College was really difficult. I was working and being a full-time student, trying to pay off college tuition. While I was in school, I was very active. I was in the School choir, and I was also on the basketball team, but not both at the same time. I wonder sometimes how I made it out of there, but I know that God was leading me.
I know have my degree, and want more education, but I really feel like God has a lot of pruning so that when the storms start to come, I am firmly planted and mature spiritually. I feel like practical experience is just as important as theory and theology and I am very exited for this opportunity.
