Last night I had the best, over the top, most excellent, awesome, dream ever! Before I can tell you it though I have to tell you how yesterday went.

So yesterday we were asked to paint a mural on one of the walls in the school (this was our fifth mural now and I’m definitely not the biggest fan of painting…) So as we starting painting I tried putting to use what I had read earlier that day in 1 Corinthians 10:31, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” Low and behold I started having fun painting the waves on the Jonah and the whale mural we were working on!

At this point I was really enjoying my day because the work flew by and before I knew it I was at the concrete pingpong table getting served by a thirteen year old table tennis prodigy. I thought that since I enjoyed painting so much when I did it for the glory of God, why not apply that to the part of the day that I already enjoyed most. I played the best pingpong of my life yesterday and enjoyed every second of it even when I lost to Suraj.

Why stop there! After pingpong we headed over to play football (soccer for all my American friends). Lord knows I don’t stand a chance against these Nepali kids especially their keeper, Bibek, and when I got a penalty kick I made sure that the last thing to cross my mind before my foot connected with that ball was ‘to God be the glory.’ The ball flew high and to the right, skimmed Bibek’s fingers, and kissed both the post and the crossbar as it arced into the goal. So next time you are watching football and you see someone looking and pointing up after scoring know that they really did have some help from above and that they are in the middle of tasting a bit of God’s glory.

Now to the dream! I was reliving my epic goal but I wasn’t in a dirt field I was playing in the World Cup. In the last seconds of the game I scored the winning point and there was tons of balloons and confetti along with my friends and family to celebrate with me. Oh and there was a huge party afterwards with a water-slide but the rest of the second half of my dream was rudely interrupted by the water buffalo that lives out side our window taking her morning pee….
